NCGA Tournaments
NCGA San Francisco Zone on April 22-23
Mill Valley Golf Club was well represented at the San Francisco Zone Qualifier at Poppy Hills GC and Del Monte GC. Our Club representatives were Matt Jones, Rob Simkins, Richie Piazza and Kevin Radich. They placed fifth out of fourteen teams. Way to go fellas, well played!!
NCGA 4-Ball Net Sectionals
Your Board member, David Rush and the one and only, Kanin Falk qualified for the Championship in Monterey by placing 4th out of 37 teams at Metropolitan Golf Links. Congrats to David and Kanin for the ultimate ham and egg show, shooting 85 and 84 respectively. Good Luck at Poppy Hills on May 20-21.
Keep an eye out for our next NCGA Tournament: the NCGA Senior 4-Ball Net Qualifier (55 years minimum age) on July 13.
Rules/Handicap
Rule of the Month – Dropping
This month, it’s about dropping the ball, how hard can that be? Starting with where to drop the ball while taking relief – there are a number of considerations. If you don’t do it correctly, you can watch the penalties tick up. Once you drop, how can you be assured it is an acceptable drop? When can you place it? Hola, amigos! Get ready to fiesta with us this Wednesday for our Cinco de Mayo celebration! We’re bringing the flavors of Mexico to the clubhouse with a mouthwatering spread featuring Pork, Chicken, and Steak Street Tacos, along with Refried Beans, Spanish Rice, Mexi Slaw, and a garnish of cheese, lettuce, sour cream, pico de gallo, and tomatillo salsa. It’s going to be a culinary fiesta you won’t want to miss. Join us for a festive evening filled with delicious food and great company!
