Tournament Results

A field of 64 players (32 teams) chased it around the National Saturday in our first annual Member / Member. Beautiful windy day, with a format of 3 holes better-ball, 3 holes alternate shot then a 3 hole scramble. Below are a few highlights, along with all the teams that placed: First 4some out were the teams of Cushner / Mackay and Bon / Russell. They battled the biggest wind of the day and each other, with both groups coming to 9 1 under. Experience seemed to matter as the veteran team saw Cushner chip it in for eagle 2 while the newcomers made birdie. 3 under 30 stood up for the day, with Bon /Russell’s 31 tied by the young team of Thill / Fierstein. The Acton sisters a bit shy at 32 for 4th gross, tied by a couple teams that took net honors instead… On the net side, Kwong / Rhine had their super 32 become 28.5 in the net and a first place check, with the teams of Shine / Mori-Prange tying second with the ever present team of Neal / Huster matching 29.5’s. 4th net was the other impressive score of 32 by the team of Suh / Smith for net 30, tying with Rothwell/Rush. Kevin Radich shot the low round of the day with a 69/63 net, Unfortunately, Kevin cannot play on the championship date, so has declined his spot in the Sectionals.
